Invertebrates

Invertebrates are defined as creatures that does not possess a vertebral column. They usually possess an outer shell that holds their body shape together, which is called the exoskeleton.

In aquascaping, there are many types of freshwater invertebrates that are commonly kept in the aquarium. Most of them are shrimps, lobsters, snails, clams, and crabs. Note that not all invertebrates are suitable for aquascaping purposes due to their omnivorous nature, i.e. they also eat aquatic plants.
